About the event

Situated within Goa’s vibrant ecological tapestry: its tidal estuaries, sacred groves, and fragile coastline, this immersive workshop invites an exploration of how interfaith wisdom can nurture pathways of ecological wellbeing. Goa, with its deep history of spiritual coexistence, i.e. Hindu, Christian, Muslim, local land-based spiritualities, and more, offers a living archive of rituals and stories rooted in reverence for land and sea. Yet, this heritage now stands in delicate tension with the pressures of climate change, extractive tourism, and coastal erosion threatening both community and ecology. Through dialogue, reflective practices, and a weaving together of spiritual insights, participants will explore how sacred traditions can guide acts of care, justice, and stewardship. Together, we will attempt to imagine how Goa’s cultural memory and place-based spiritual practices can inspire regenerative futures, where ecology and faith are not separate realms, but mutually sustaining forces for planetary regeneration and health.
