About the event
This nature walk will be led by our Youth Fellow (YF) Mithun from our Nilgiris Adivasi Youth Leadership Program, focusing on medicinal plants, herbs, trees, leaves, and birds found in the forest. The session will be conducted in the Kattunayakan tribal language, making it more meaningful and rooted in local knowledge.
A total of 15 youth from the Kattunayakan community will participate. The walk will take place close to their forest area, helping them reconnect with their traditional knowledge and natural surroundings. Through this experience, they will learn to identify local medicinal plants and understand their uses in tribal healing practices.
