Community Climate Change Awareness Session & Nature Walk

This event focuses on building awareness about climate change, its impacts, and challenges, especially in the context of forest communities. The session will include storytelling and sharing by climate leaders and elders from the Adiya tribal community. They will reflect on changes in the climate comparing past (traditional) weather patterns with the current climate crisis and how it has affected their lives, livelihoods, and forests.

Nature Walk will be organized for children and youth, guided by community leaders. During the walk, participants will learn about different forest trees, birds, and local ecology. Special attention will be given to medicinal trees their uses in indigenous healing practices and their connection to climate resilience. Discussions will take place under trees, where the forest itself becomes a classroom
