About the event
Chennai is one of the cities most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Over 40 'red category' industries—mostly fossil-fuel-based—are located in northern Chennai. These industries encroach upon the Manali-Ennore-Pulicat wetland complex, polluting the air and accelerating climate change. On September 7th—the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies—this visit to North Chennai will offer participants a first-hand understanding of climate change from a grassroots perspective.
