About the event
As part of Climate Week India 2025, YOGI (Youth Organization for Green India) will host “Blossoms to Blessings – Composting Workshop” at Fergusson College, Pune. The event focuses on how flowers and fruits, often discarded into rivers after religious and social activities, can be repurposed into compost—turning potential pollution into nourishment for the earth.
The program will be anchored by the Fergusson River Club (YOGI-led) and will include:
Collection Drive: YOGI volunteers will collect discarded flowers and fruits before the event.
Workshop Demonstration: Hands-on composting techniques using the collected materials.
Interactive Dialogue: Connecting composting to river health, waste management, and climate-friendly living.
Commitment Pledge: Participants pledge to adopt composting in their homes, communities, and institutions.
